Studied Fine Art Sculpture at Cheltenham, Woodcarving with Zigrid Sapietis R.S.S., Painting (Leith School of Art) with Paul Martin.
She lives and works in Athelstaneford East Lothian, drawing, painting and from time to time running Art Workshops. She worked for many years as an Art Therapist, she is currently also training as a Mindfulness Teacher and continues to explore ways to incorporate these rich experiences into her approach to creativity and art making.
Her work derives from a mixture of private commissions, Portraits of People and Animals – to Landscapes, Wild and Still Life, using a range of media. Through her abiding interest in people, animals, nature and the “Journey of Life”, she delights in bringing the character of the subject alive through the rendering of the hues. Thin washes of Colour interplay with thicker layers, giving the works a richer intensity of vocabulary.
Work has been commissioned throughout Britain and as far afield as France Australia and Canada.
