Paisley Pins is a joint venture by Paisley born Andrea McCarthy & Laura Provan.
Referencing the world renowned & much loved pattern that is at the heart of their hometown Paisley’s heritage, they combine hand making processes with casting, laser cutting & etching. Through the use of bright acrylics, anodised aluminium & sterling silver, they produce pieces with a contemporary twist on the traditional Paisley pattern.
Andrea graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 2005 with a BA (Hons) in Visual Communication & Photography following which she pursued a career in graphic design for ten years.
Laura had a successful career as an artworker in advertising agencies & printers for over a decade before returning to study jewellery design.
Whilst studying Jewellery Design at Glasgow Clyde College, Andrea & Laura developed their first range of Paisley Pins and are continually developing their designs and ranges, all focusing on reinterpreting a traditional textile pattern into wearable jewellery.
