I graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2009 with a BA in Combined Studies (Art and Design). I now design and create jewellery, small silversmithed objects and paint figurative and landscape pieces.
In the creation of jewellery I utilise traditional techniques to make contemporary jewellery and particularly enjoy hand saw piercing to create intricate patterns in the metal and fabricating custom fittings for my jewellery to complement the designs. I very much enjoy learning new techniques and my work is therefore constantly evolving.
My jewellery is influenced by a variety of sources including embroidered and printed textiles, natural form, text and architectural detail and work mainly in sterling silver and use 18ct gold detail in one of my collections to provide a hint of warmth. I also use occasional precious and semi-precious stones.
